What Gear Does C King Media Use?
One of the most common questions we get is: “What kind of gear are you bringing to my shoot?”The answer isn’t a one-size-fits-all list. Our gear setup depends on the assignment, the team, and the scale of the project. If we’re covering a large corporate event with multiple photographers and videographers, the gear list looks very different than if we’re live streaming a private service or producing a talking-head video. To keep things simple (and so we don’t have to update this post every time new gear comes in), we’ve created an up-to-date GEAR LIST here that you can reference anytime. Here’s a quick snapshot of what you’ll typically find in our kits:
Cameras
Canon 4K Cinema Cameras – primarily the Canon C70
Canon R5 Mark II – versatile for photo and video
DJI Drones – aerial coverage when the project calls for it
Audio & Live Streaming
Zoom H6 / H4 recorders
Rode & Sennheiser lav mic kits
Blackmagic livestream switchers
LiveU cellular bonders for remote streaming
Professional headsets and comms systems
Lighting Photography
Profoto strobes
Elinchrom, Westcott, and Aputure Modifiers
Video
Aputure
ARRI
Dedolight
Support Gear
• Tripods: Sachtler and Benro systems
• A variety of rigs, gimbals, and stands depending on the scale of the shoot
Why the Gear List Varies
Each production is unique. Sometimes we bring in extra crew with their own gear, or rent specialty equipment for a very specific need. Other times, a streamlined setup is best. The bottom line: we always match the gear to the job so you get the right tools for the right outcome.
